What are Eyelash Extensions?

Eyelash Extensions are synthetic fiber strands that are attched to your natural lash and is made with different lengths and curls. Eyelash Extensions lengthens and thickens your own natural lashes giving it a natural look or a dramatic look. When you have your extensions, they will feel like your own lashes.

How long will the initial fullset take?

We take pride in all of our work and want our work to show for itself, so we do take our time with each client. Expect the classic fullset to take about 90 to 120 minutes and the volume fullset to be 120 to 150 minutes. We will use as many natural lashes as needed for the look that the client wants.

What is the difference between the Classic and Volume fullset? 

With the classic fullset, one synthetic mink extension is placed on one natural lash. So let's say you have 100 natural lashes, then we would place 100 synthetic extensions.

 

With the volume fullset, we can add 2-4 synthetic mink extensions per natural lash. With 100 natural lashes, there would be 200-400 synthetic extensions. That is what we call volume. How this is achieved is with lighter and thinner extensions that the natural lash can hold.

How long will my Eyelash Extensions last?

Other than having the extensions professionally applied, aftercare is just as important. Extensions would last between 2-4 weeks, depending on which extension service you received.

What is a fill and how often should I get one?

For a classic fill,we recommend getting a refill every 2.5 to 3 weeks. For a volume fill, we recommend getting a refill every 3 to 3.5 weeks. A refill is when we replace any lashes that have fallen due to the natural cycle of your own lashes and to take off the old extensions that need to be replaced. This service is about 60 to 90 minutes.

I don't know if I'm allergic to your adhesive. 

If you believe you might have an allergic reaction to our lash adhesive, please schedule to come 24 to 48 hours before your appointment for a patch test.

Will extensions damage my eyelashes?

Unfortunately, there are some lash technicians that are not properly trained or are not using the right products that can and will damage your natural lashes. Please do your research on the lash technicians that you want to work with. However, a trained lash techician will not damage your natural lashes and will take care of your lashes with utmost care.

Can I apply mascara to my Eyelash Extensions?

One of the benefits of having eyelash extensions is that you don't need to use mascara. But for the nights or events that you would want drama than you can use a water-based mascara. Do not use oil-based or water-proof mascara as they can dissolve the bonding agent that will shorten the life of your eyelash extensions. When washing off the water-based mascara, please use only water-based or oil-free makeup remover.

What is the aftercare for my eyelash extensions?

• Do not wash eyes or shower and avoid steam and sweat for 24 hours after lash application.

• Avoid strong heat such as ovens or bbq's. Heat can melt or distort extensions.

• Avoid rubbing and pulling your lashes. Do not use eyelash curler on your extensions.

• Avoid oil-based and waterproof mascaras/makeup removers. Only use extension safe mascaras which is water-based.

• Book a fill appointment every 2-3 weeks, to fill in the areas where your natural lashes have fallen out and new lashes are growing in.
