Permanent Makeup FAQ'S

What is Lip Blushing?

Lip Blushing is a full lip tattoo that shapes, define and gives your lip that youthful tint after the healing process. Your lips will have a slight flush of color and a constant pout. This services is a good alternative to lip fillers because your lips will seem to be bigger because of the perfect lip outline.

Prior to the procedure, the client will approve of the lip shape and color. A topical numbing cream is applied to the lip area to minimize discomfort. Some clients may feel a slight discomfort, but we're always reapplying the numbing cream. Doing a shading technique, the PMU artist will fill your lips with the color pigment. The process takes about 2-3 hours. Each client heals differently, but it takes 30 days to heal with scabbing. The results last between 2-5 years, depending on each client's skin type.

What is the after-care for Lip Blushing?

Clients who have diabetes, women who are pregnant or lactating, people with glaucoma or taking blood thinning medication, people with skin diseased such as psoriasis/eczema and undiagnosed rashes or blisters on the site that is to be treated, people with allergies to makeup or colors, people with easily triggered post inflammatory hyperpigmentation are not good candidates, people with transmittable blood conditions like HIV or Hepatitis, people with active skin cancer in the area to be tattooed, people who are hemophiliac, people who have healing disorders, uncontrolled high blood pressure or had mitral valve disorder, and people on any skin medication such as ro-accutaine, steroids which thin and oversensitive the skin.

What is Microblading?

Microblading is a semi-permanent tattoo that is perfect for those who want to reconstruct, define, cover gaps or fill-in over plucked brows. The results are natural because the individual strokes look hairlike.

The process starts with drawing the brow shape with a brow pencil. After agreeing on the perfect shape, a topical numbing cream is applied to the area to minimize discomfort. Some clients may feel a slight discomfort, but it's relatively painless. Using a special microblading pen to draw on individual strokes one by one to create the brow, this service will take about 2 hours. Every individual heals differently, but it takes between 25 and 30 days to heal with some mild scabbing. After a month, the second appointment for the touch-up should have been already scheduled.

In the touch-up appointment, we can see how your skin received the ink and make any necessary corrections. Sometimes a client's skin undertone may have unexpected effects on the ink's color and the artist may need to add color to adjust.

What is Combo Brows?

Combo brow is a mix of microblading and shading together. This combines realistic hairstrokes with soft powdery brows. This style is perfect for oily skin types of clients.

Consultation starts with drawing the brow shape. After agreeing on the perfect shape, a topical numbing cream is applied to the area to minimize discomfort. Some clients may feel a slight discomfort, but it's relatively painless. Using a special microblading pen to draw on individual strokes one by one to create the brow's outline and a shading technique for the powder effect, this service will take about 2-2.5  hours. Each client heals differently, but it takes between 25 and 30 days to heal with some mild scabbing. After a month, the second appointment for the touch-up should have been already scheduled.

What is the after-care for the brows?

  • For 24 hours, nothing should go on your brows. No water. No creams. Feel free to go around the brows to clean your face.

  • After 24 hours, you can shower/wash your face. Soap, shampoo, water is completely okay to rinse over the brows but NO scrubbing nor massaging the brows. (Do that for 5 days).

  • Also for 5 days, NO workout, NO swimming, tanning, or hot/dry sauna.

  • Your brows are going to look dark the next day after you receive Microblading/Combo/Shading tattoo, but in 5-10 days they will peel and lighten up.

  • After peeling you'll have spots that your skin didn't hold onto the ink and it's completely normal. Feel free to apply eyebrow makeup after 5 days to cover up the areas until you come back for your touch-up.

  • When your brows are peeling they will feel itchy. Do not pick on it. If you can't handle the itch, you can apply a very thin layer of coconut oil or vitamin E over your eyebrows (at night only).

  • Final results are seen after the second session. (4-6 weeks after the initial appointment)
