Frequently Asked Questions

What is Lip Blushing Tattoo?

Lip Blushing is a cosmetic tattoo that enhances your lip color giving you that youthful tint. Your lips will have a slight flush of color and a constant pout. This services is a good alternative to lip fillers because your lips will seem to be bigger because of the natural lip outline.

Prior to the procedure, the client will approve the lip shape. Doing a shading technique, the PMU artist will fill the lips with the pigment. Because this is a cosmetic tattoo, the client will have some discomfort. The process takes about 3-5 hours, depending on each client's lip. Each client heals differently, but it takes 7-14 days to heal with scabbing. After 10-14 weeks, depending on each client, the second session is necessary to complete the desired look.

Please note that multiple sessions would be needed if the client is needing a Lip Neutralization or wanting a more saturated or bolder look. (This will be discussed during the consultation)

Clients who have diabetes, women who are pregnant or lactating, people with glaucoma or taking blood thinning medication, people with skin diseased such as psoriasis/eczema and undiagnosed rashes or blisters on the site that is to be treated, people with allergies to makeup or colors, people with easily triggered post inflammatory hyperpigmentation are not good candidates, people with transmittable blood conditions like HIV or Hepatitis, people with active skin cancer in the area to be tattooed, people who are hemophiliac, people who have healing disorders, uncontrolled high blood pressure or had mitral valve disorder, and people on any skin medication such as ro-accutaine, steroids which thin and oversensitive the skin.

What is Microblading?

Microblading is a cosmetic tattoo that is perfect for those who want to reconstruct, define, cover gaps or fill-in over plucked brows. The results are natural because the individual strokes look hairlike.

The process starts with drawing the brow shape with a brow pencil. After agreeing on the perfect shape, a topical numbing cream is applied to the area to minimize discomfort. Some clients may feel a slight discomfort. Using a special microblading pen to draw on individual strokes one by one to create the brow, this service will take about 3 hours. Every individual heals differently, but it takes between 25 and 30 days to heal with some mild scabbing. We highly recommend within 6-8 weeks after the initial session to book a second session.

In the second session, we can see how your skin received the ink and make any necessary corrections. Sometimes a client's skin undertone may have unexpected effects on the ink's color and the artist may need to add color to adjust. Touch-up appointments are important to Microblading.

What is the after-care for the brows?

  • For 24 hours, nothing should go on your brows. No water. No creams. Feel free to go around the brows to clean your face.

  • After 24 hours, you can shower/wash your face. Soap, shampoo, water is completely okay to rinse over the brows but NO scrubbing nor massaging the brows. (Do that for 7 days).

  • Also for 7 days, NO workout, NO swimming, tanning, or hot/dry sauna.

  • Your brows are going to look dark the next day after you receive Microblading/Microshading/Ombre tattoo, but in 5-10 days they will peel and lighten up.

  • After peeling you'll have spots that your skin didn't hold onto the ink and it's completely normal. Feel free to apply eyebrow makeup after 7 days to cover up the areas until you come back for your touch-up.

  • When your brows are peeling they will feel itchy. Do not pick on it. If you can't handle the itch, you can apply a very thin layer of coconut oil or vitamin E over your eyebrows (at night only).

  • Final results are seen after the second session. (8 weeks after the initial appointment)
